ALIA CARITA TOMPKINS is a writer/director currently based between New York and Germany. She earned her BFA in Film & Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Alia most recently assisted director Padraic McKinley on upcoming feature film, THE WEIGHT, starring Ethan Hawke. She has supported several writers rooms for Amazon Studios, and participated in the Kino Guarimba Film Residency in Southern Italy. Her recent short films ORANGE BLOSSOM and MAMA’S FATTEH screened at the Brooklyn Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, Cannes SFC, Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin & more. She’s currently prepping her next narrative short in Bavaria and writing her first feature.
