ALIA CARITA TOMPKINS is a filmmaker & photographer currently based between Brooklyn, NY and Germany. She earned her BFA in Film & Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Alia most recently worked as a script coordinator on an unannounced series, and her past professional experience includes time at Amazon Studios, A24, UTA, and supporting the writers on Lulu Wang’s series, EXPATS. She participated in the 2023 Kino Guarimba Film Residency in Southern Italy as a writer/director. Her recent documentary short MAMA'S FATTEH made with creative partner Nasma Kublawi screened at Brooklyn Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival & the Arab Film Festival, to be followed by recently completed narrative short, ORANGE BLOSSOM.
